4th of July

This year we went to the Stadium of Fire!!! I have wanted to go and I heard that Kelly Clarkson was going to be performing which I have really been liking her lately, so I ordered the tickets the day they went on sale and prayed that Jake would be home. Luckily he was, he got home Tuesday night and we headed up north Wednesday morning. The morning of the 4th we woke up really early and headed to Provo to go the Grand Parade, as kids we always used to go to Grandma & Grandpa's house which happened to be just off the main road where the parade route was and it's by far one of the best memories. The girls had fun, it was really the first parade that Jaycee was able to participate in since she can walk now and they had fun. After we grabbed some food downtown where all the tents and festivities were at. It was such a big parade and so many people that we could hardly get around to all the booths, so we ended up leaving and heading back to the hotel for a nap before our big night. The Stadium of Fire was fun, although a lot of work with Jaycee, she was climbing everywhere and at times didn't want to be in the stand, and she wasn't a huge fan of the fireworks, more so the noise like most kids.

Before the parade started they had a dance competition in the middle of the road for the kids, Addi clogged her little heart out to Gangnam Style :)

Fireworks, this didn't last long

***Daddy's girls***
Dang I have the cutest family!!! So Jaycee was sitting on my lap and decided she wanted to
go to Jake, well once she did Addi decided she wanted to sit on my lap. Once Jaycee realized that Addi was on my lap, of coarse she wanted back on mine. So we swapped, and sure enough not even a minute goes by when Jaycee realizes Addi was on dads lap, and she wanted back on Dads lap, so they both sat on his lap and were very content. A little bit of jealousy maybe? ;)

Wyoming

Jake had a job in Jackson, Wyoming this year. I was pretty bummed because I wanted to make a trip out there, and go to Yellowstone but it was a short job and they worked straight through the weekends, no time off so it just didn't' work out, but we plan on taking a trip back sooner or later when we can actually enjoy it. Anyways here are just a few awesome pictures he captured.

Teton National Park

Driving down the road after work and came across these animals

Mamma bear and her cubs,
it wasn't unusual for them to be driving down the road and see a bear

So all the guys out on the road take pictures and send it into the office whenever they are out on jobs. The company has a monthly news letter that goes out in the paychecks and every month they pick the best picture and post it in the newsletter, the winner gets $50 and bragging rights. So I am always getting pictures with the mill in it, but this it just a glimpse of not even half of the train that Jake is on. You can see his mill which is the 3rd machine back, it push's the tank and the water truck in front of it, all while pulling multiple other trailers behind it and milling the road.

Fathers Day/ Colorado

Well this year Jake was unable to make it home for Fathers Day and he was working in Colorado, near the airport. Well we recently got a direct daily flight to Denver from St. George so I decided if he couldn't come home then we would go to him. I was a bit nervous because Jaycee has never been on a plane before and I had never taken either of the girls on a plane, and then on top of it all, doing it by myself it was a bit scary but it worked out great. Jaycee did great on the way over I had plenty of snacks and Addi sat next to a Pilot who was on his way to fly some troops to Germany, he was awesome I couldn't have asked for anyone better for her to sit by. He was so patient, and listened to her story's, they were laughing and playing paper rock scissors, playing on his I-pad, drawing, when we landed I didn't get a chance to tell him thank you because he was in a rush to catch the plane he was flying and our plane had been a little delayed but he doesn't even know how much that meant and how much relief it gave me.

Anyways it was a short trip, Saturday we woke up early and hit the Denver Zoo and then headed to a Colorado Rockies game after. Other than the fact that I had a headache, the game was a blast we got the full baseball experience with hot dogs, nachos, beer, foam fingers, hats, snow cones, the whole sha-bang. The kids stood up on their chairs trying to get on TV but they never did BUMMER!!!

Addi trying to pull the same face, she could hardly do it without a smile

This was awesome, this peacock was in the middle of a bridge, so me and the girls got on one side and Jake got on the other to take a picture, we don't look that close but we were really close to it

Baby Zebra, it was only a week old :)

Addi, Ambree, and Dylan trying to catch a ball

HA HA this makes me laugh we weren't really sure if Anna was taking a picture of the girls or us so we weren't really prepared

Jaycee put the poster right in front of my face at the last minute :) oh well it was probably the best family picture we captured the whole time ha-ha.

Addi's Birthday Party!!!

This past weekend we celebrated Addison's 7th Birthday party. She will be turning 7 on June 1. For some reason this year she just couldn't wrap her head around why we were celebrating her birthday on a day that was not her actual Birthday?!?......and the fact that people would give her presents on a day that's not really her Birthday???...WOW this was awesome! :)
Anyways we started off the day with all you can eat french toast at Kneaders YUM!!! definatly recommend if you have not ever been, then we went shopping for a few new outfits and then headed home to get ready.

The Birthday Party was a hit! I was so nervous this is actually the first birthday party I have planned other than just little family get together party's and I was so nervous how it was going to turn out but it was awesome. Addison had such a good time with all her little friends and all the family.

Happy EARLY Birthday Miss Addi :)
We love you!!!!
