The Mitchells: Kolob Trip Attempt

So to start out, we have been having little problems with my car lately ford focus's are known for their windows just falling, which happened to my passenger window, and not wanting to put any money into the piece of junk, Jake ghetto rigged it so it would stay in place and we can no longer roll down the passenger window. Well Friday the 16th my passenger door wouldn't unlock and of coarse the window wouldn't roll down so we couldn't get inside the door to fix it so Jake tried pulling my door apart from the inside...didn't work. So Sunday the 18th Jake and I decided to go fishin in Kolob. We woke up early and packed up everything, stopped by walmart to get some lunch and snacks, I climbed over the driver seat into the passenger (haha LOL) and we headed out. Everything was going good until we got to the top of a big hill and all of a sudden the car started to sputter....well I thought to my self oh it's probably just having a hard time shifting, as it has been lately but then it kept getting worse. Thinking to myself "we won't really break down, stuff like that doesn't happen to us" I looked at Jake and said "are you kidding me?" thinking he was playing a joke.....he wasn't! and the car completely died in the middle of the road! The car wouldn't even turn over. Luckily some guys pulled up in a truck and towed us off the side of the road, the passenger's truck had broke down around the corner the day before and he had a tow truck on it's way up so we called my mom to come get us and called the tow truck guy to let him know he would have another car. Well as Jake and I are waiting patiently he says to me "go try to start the car just to see if it works" so I did and it still wouldn't work, but I looked over and to my surprise the passenger door was UNLOCKED?!?! Agh anyways, we get home and Jake starts messing with my car, and tells me to get my brothers truck, so I did and he hooked jumper cables up to my car and it started up just fine...which doesn't make sense but whatever so we got a new battery and it's been fine ever since! We were really bummed....not about the car but that we didn't get to go fishin. Here are some pics that I took while waiting for a ride!
